About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance from Minnesota North College
- Provide high-quality customer service through all college communication channels
- Support students and other customers by interpreting and explaining admissions, registration, financial aid, academic records, and program information
- Analyze individual situations and provide accurate guidance
- Facilitate access to student administrative services
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of admissions, financial aid, registration and records processes, academic programs, and related college procedures
- Connect students, parents, staff, and external agencies with advising, counseling, student records, financial aid, and enrollment-related support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Customer service skills sufficient to actively listen to and understand customer needs and provide accurate information and appropriate alternatives in a timely, thorough, courteous, respectful, and professional manner
- English sufficient to perform the job duties described above and effectively communicate with internal and external customers by phone and in person
- Word processing/typing experience sufficient to quickly and accurately produce documents, including business letters, memos, spreadsheets, and reports, using proper grammar, spelling, and usage
- Database management skills sufficient to develop and correctly enter information in a database, produce ad-hoc queries, and develop reports for management use
- Commitment to diversity and demonstrated ability to work successfully with persons of diverse backgrounds
