About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise and provide technical support on multi-track RTA claims valued over £100k and up to £1m
  • Provide technical support and effective supervision to Grade A colleagues and supporting hubs
  • Provide technical coaching and guidance to leads and AFE’s
  • Ensure efficient case progression and achievement of operational, financial and client-service objectives
  • Support case planning and hub productivity
  • Conduct monthly technical one-to-ones with Grade A colleagues
  • Identify and escalate capability concerns and support training, development or support plans
  • Collaborate with QA, Technical Compliance and Technical Leads to manage risk
  • Support Billing Governance Forums with technical submissions
  • Ensure adherence to Minster Law’s Costs Process and provide technical costs support
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders, Team Managers and Technical Leads to embed business change and deliver performance
  • Hold team meetings and communicate key messages
  • Complete monthly returns to the leadership team
  • Act as an ambassador for Minster Law’s purpose, values and best practices
  • Attend client meetings, conferences and provide occasional Team Leader support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Admitted Solicitor, FCILEX with Rights to Litigate
  • 8+ years PQE
  • Experience handling and supervising high-value multi-track personal injury (RTA – car and bike) claims
  • Technical knowledge of personal injury (RTA) work
  • Experience with claims valued over £500k and up to £1m
  • Experience using electronic case management systems, ideally Proclaim
  • IT skills including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Knowledge of Personal Injury Pre-Action Protocols, Civil Procedure Rules, Funding and Costs
  • Knowledge of personal injury law
  • Understanding of the Intermediate Track on lower-value serious injury cases over £100k
  • Ability to assess and advise on evidence, liability and quantum
  • Knowledge of litigation and cases involving cost budgeting
  • Good numerical skills and ability to lead and assess calculated special damages
  • Experience of billing, bill sign-off and interpretation of MI and data
  • Ability to deliver and facilitate training
  • Ability to assess competency criteria for individual and department-wide training
  • Strong supervisory, coaching, leadership, decision-making and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively, influence stakeholders and operate in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to follow company processes and guidelines
  • Willingness to explore new technologies
  • Some travel may be required
  • Associates must undertake client meetings and attend conferences as required
