About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using modern engineering practices
Lead architectural design decisions and contribute to the technical direction of products and services
Build scalable microservices and APIs using .NET and Azure technologies
Apply secure-by-design principles throughout the software development lifecycle
Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Mentor and support engineers, helping to develop technical capability across the team
Drive improvements in software delivery through automation, CI/CD and DevOps practices
Support live applications, diagnose issues and contribute to incident resolution when required
Contribute to legacy system modernisation and technical debt reduction initiatives
Work closely with Platform and Infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, secure and efficient deployments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive experience developing applications using C# and .NET
Strong experience designing and building microservices, APIs and integration solutions
Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development
Strong knowledge of SQL databases and modern data platforms, including Azure Cosmos DB
Front-end development experience using JavaScript and frameworks such as React or Angular
Experience working with Azure DevOps, source control, testing and deployment pipelines
Proven experience deploying and supporting production software applications
Strong solution design and architecture experience
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Previous experience mentoring and developing other engineers
Python development experience
Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms
Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools
Experience working within Agile product delivery environments
Passion for emerging technologies, AI tools and continuous improvement
