  • Own features end to end from conception through production

  • Product- and customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to reason about blast radius, trust boundaries, and security-sensitive infrastructure
  • Ability to read unfamiliar code, reason from first principles, and explain tradeoffs
  • Comfortable across TypeScript, Python, and CockroachDB, or able to learn new languages, protocols, and domains quickly
  • Excited to build with AI agents and identify when they obscure problems
  • Builds with AI daily and prefers a low-process environment
  • College degree is requested in the application form, but the job description does not state it as a requirement
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid environment in San Mateo or San Francisco offices 3x a week is requested in the application form
