Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own features end to end from conception through production
  • Work across gateway infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic systems
  • Build backend and infrastructure features, as well as UI when needed
  • Repair connectors during security reviews
  • Shape problems and make architecture, product, and UX decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Track record of shipping products, internal tools, open-source projects, or serious side projects to real users
  • Strong fundamentals and ability to learn quickly
  • Product-focused mindset prioritizing customer needs over technical purity
  • Understanding of infrastructure risks, blast radius, trust boundaries, and security-sensitive systems
  • Ability to read unfamiliar code, reason from first principles, and explain tradeoffs
  • Comfortable across TypeScript, Python, and CockroachDB, or able to quickly learn new languages, protocols, and domains
  • Excited to build with AI agents and identify when they conceal problems
  • Already builds with AI every day and prefers a low-process environment
  • College degree required by the application form
  • Willingness to work hybrid in San Mateo or San Francisco offices three times per week
