  • Own features end to end from conception to production
  • Work across gateway infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic systems
  • Build backend and infrastructure features, while contributing to UI when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Track record of shipping to real users, including products, internal tools, open-source projects, or serious side projects
  • Strong fundamentals and ability to learn quickly
  • Product-focused judgment prioritizing customer needs over technical purity
  • Ability to think about blast radius, trust boundaries, and security-sensitive infrastructure
  • Ability to read unfamiliar code, reason from first principles, and explain tradeoffs
  • Comfortable across TypeScript, Python, and CockroachDB, or able to quickly learn new languages, protocols, and domains
  • Excited to build with AI agents and identify when they help or hide problems
  • Already build with AI every day and want to work without heavy process
  • Nice to have: developer-facing products, protocol or gateway work, or infrastructure at scale
  • Nice to have: background in security, identity, or permission systems
  • Nice to have: contributions to open source, MCP servers, or agentic frameworks
  • Nice to have: design sensibility connecting engineering and infrastructure
  • Must be open to working in a hybrid environment in the San Mateo or San Francisco offices 3x a week
