Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Track record of shipping to real users, including a product, internal tool, open-source project, or serious side project
  • Strong fundamentals and ability to learn quickly
  • Care about product value and customer needs over technical purity
  • Ability to think about blast radius, trust boundaries, and security-sensitive infrastructure
  • Ability to read unfamiliar code, reason from first principles, and explain tradeoffs
  • Comfortable across TypeScript, Python, and CockroachDB, or able to learn new languages, protocols, and domains quickly
  • Excited to build with agents and understand when they help or hide problems
  • Already build with AI every day and want to work without heavy process
  • Developer-facing products, protocol or gateway work, or infrastructure at scale are nice to have
  • Background in security, identity, or permission systems is nice to have
  • Contributions to open source, MCP servers, or agentic frameworks are nice to have
  • Design sensibility is nice to have
  • Must be open to working in a hybrid environment in San Mateo or San Francisco offices 3x a week
