About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the customer relationship from signed deal through renewal and expansion
  • Build mutual delivery plans defining success, responsibilities, and timelines
  • Drive customer onboarding and launch the product against real use cases
  • Stay close to customers as product usage grows
  • Track account health and run customer check-ins and business reviews
  • Identify and address risks before they become problems
  • Pull in engineering or founders when additional support is needed
  • Own renewals and identify expansion opportunities across teams, agents, and company workflows
  • Lead resolution of urgent customer issues
  • Challenge customer requests when they do not align with their needs or proven practices
  • Advocate for customers internally to founders while balancing company priorities
  • Build the post-sales function as the first dedicated hire
  • Create repeatable delivery plans, health scoring, review rhythms, and sales handoff processes
  • Help determine future customer success hiring and grow into leading the function
  • Travel to meet customers
  • Work in person in the San Francisco Bay Area

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Exceptional customer relationship management skills
  • Experience owning customer relationships end to end in customer success, account management, consulting, or client delivery
  • Ability to run plans and drive outcomes across customer teams
  • Ability to align stakeholders, track commitments, and maintain momentum
  • Comfort in technical conversations without being an engineer
  • Ability to explain technical products and their business value
  • Ability to recognize when to involve technical teams for deeper issues
  • Experience carrying retention and expansion, or strong commercial instinct
  • Experience building playbooks, templates, cadences, and other structure from scratch
  • Calm under pressure and ownership of customer outcomes
  • AI-native or ability to become AI-native quickly
  • Genuine curiosity about AI, agents, and enterprise adoption
  • Ability to move quickly with limited process
  • Desire to grow into leading a team
  • Bonus: AI solutions engineer or forward-deployed engineer background
  • Bonus: Experience selling to or supporting technical and engineering buyers
  • Bonus: Experience with enterprise rollouts involving security review, procurement, and multi-threading
  • Bonus: Comfort representing the company in business reviews, dinners, and on-site meetings with technical and security leaders
  • Open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Open to working in a hybrid environment in the San Mateo or San Francisco offices 3x a week
  • Must answer U.S. work authorization and immigration sponsorship questions
