About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Answer calls from newly signed-up patients and promptly call new signups back
- Listen empathetically to patients and learn about their health, goals, and barriers to care
- Explain Mira Mace's services, Medicare coverage, and next steps in plain language
- Confirm Medicare coverage and plan details, contact information, and information needed by the care team
- Book the patient's first doctor's visit and explain how to join it
- Follow up with patients who did not answer or were not ready through phone and text
- Document every conversation accurately in the company platform
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, privacy, and applicable platform standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Located in the United States
- Active LPN/LVN license, or Community Health Worker (CHW) certification
- 2+ years of patient-facing experience talking with Medicare patients
- Deep working knowledge of Medicare and the U.S. healthcare system
- Comfort with a high volume of phone conversations every day
- Reliable computer, internet, and a quiet space for patient calls
- Comfortable with technology and quick to learn CRMs, scheduling, and messaging platforms
- Experience in a healthcare call center, patient access, or enrollment role preferred
- Familiarity with Medicaid and other public programs preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish or another language common among Medicare patients preferred
