About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct 30-minute new-patient telehealth visits with Medicare patients, mostly by video and by phone when necessary
  • Review up-to-date medical records, including history and medication review
  • Perform assessments and create care plans
  • Place orders and referrals, including durable medical equipment when indicated
  • Review patients’ care plans and care advocates’ logged hours monthly
  • Provide clinical oversight to guide patients’ health and social situations
  • Document visits in the Healthie EHR using visit templates
  • Work with the care team, which schedules patients and assists with pre-visit connection
  • Begin seeing patients after credentialing and payer enrollment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • MD or DO
  • Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted medical license(s) in the US
  • Clean record with no disciplinary or reprimand actions against the license
  • Not opted out of Medicare and no exclusions
  • 3+ years post-residency experience
  • Applicants must be based in the United States
  • Reliable remote setup with strong internet, a quiet professional space, and a computer with a camera
  • CAQH profile complete and up to date within 1 day of accepting the offer
  • Ability to commit to at least 10 hours per week; 15–20 preferred
  • Availability Monday–Friday during US daytime
  • Telehealth experience preferred
  • Licensure in North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, Illinois or Ohio strongly preferred
  • Licensure in Texas, Florida, California or Georgia preferred
  • IMLC eligibility is a plus
  • Already enrolled in Medicare (PECOS) is a plus
