About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct, manage, and coordinate sales functions with distribution and end-users in an assigned territory
  • Provide product demonstrations and training
  • Develop distribution channels
  • Identify opportunities for new applications and end-users
  • Implement distributor and growth end-user programs
  • Conduct promotion and product launch presentations and activities
  • Work with the Regional Manager to develop short-term and long-term strategies and action plans to achieve sales growth objectives
  • Complete required reports, system entries, and other administrative responsibilities accurately and timely
  • Travel to individual customers by driving an automobile and/or flying in a commercial airplane
  • Spend approximately 10% of overall work time performing administrative tasks in a home office environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of prior Sales Experience in the abrasives supply industry or related supply industries such as paint or surface finishing
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Technical aptitude with problem solving skills
  • Detailed knowledge and ability to demonstrate industry applications, processes, and technologies
  • Goal oriented with focus on achieving targets and set sales goals
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other reporting platforms
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation/demonstration skills for audiences ranging from small to large
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and see; occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to travel to customers by automobile and/or commercial airplane
  • Overnight travel up to 20% of the time
