About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, deliver, and support operational Active Network Management Systems (ANM) for the Digital Solutions Department
Participate in the delivery and support of ANM systems through their lifecycle
Prepare system requirements, functional specifications, test specifications, and related documentation for DSD projects
Design data interfaces between DSD products and external systems
Integrate control and field instrumentation, measurement devices, test rigs, and harnesses for production projects
Configure, test, and commission ANM platforms and applications in production and pre-production environments
Participate in onsite commissioning of ANM products and components
Maintain knowledge of latest research, development, and trial activities in the domain
Identify product opportunities consistent with DSD capabilities, platforms, and target markets
Further the goals and positive, professional image of DSD through dealings with customers and internal departments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial control, computer science, or related discipline with 3 to 5 years of experience in areas of power quality, battery energy storage systems, and FACTS devices, or equivalent education or experience
Intermediate knowledge of automation control platforms, communication protocol interfaces, IT communication networking, and IT security practices
Intermediate knowledge of the software engineering lifecycle and documentation process for design, development, and support
Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers and employees
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail
Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products
