Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage field service activities supporting customer operations, including direct customer interface, incident or issue resolution, and completion of project activities
  • Supervise field service technicians according to company policies and procedures
  • Communicate job expectations, monitor and appraise performance, review compensation actions, and provide coaching and training
  • Approve and coordinate scheduled activities, including on-call scheduling
  • Lead division-level strategic initiatives
  • Direct Field Service delivery and manage customer experience for assigned key accounts
  • Manage supplier relationships and service performance of authorized regional service providers
  • Resolve service incidents and issues with company personnel
  • Represent Field Service for the assigned area in sales proposals, project calls, customer meetings, and partner meetings
  • Collaborate on field service processes and procedures
  • Review field service reports and prepare activity reports and analysis
  • Assist with site needs for scheduled work
  • Ensure achievement of field service performance metrics
  • Maintain inventoried items and fixed assets in the assigned service area
  • Support the Field Service Manager
  • Promote the Division’s goals and professional image through customer and internal stakeholder interactions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent field with a minimum 5 years of field service technician experience and a minimum 2 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity, or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and bills of material
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers, employees, and suppliers
  • Advanced computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office products and MRP/ERP systems
