About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell and market company equipment by contacting established customers and developing new prospects
  • Sell and market complex projects in scope and volume
  • Develop and maintain close contact with potential customers and equipment or technology partners
  • Develop and recommend marketing objectives
  • Execute and implement strategy objectives for the respective portfolio
  • Maintain contacts with international divisions and work closely with in-house staff
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and develop project or client strategies
  • Prepare and coordinate proposal activities with suppliers and consortium partners
  • Coordinate and finalize proposal documents, terms and conditions, and cost budgets
  • Present proposals to clients and participate in Primetals Technologies presentations
  • Coordinate commercial documents, cost budgets, and price budgets for proposal addenda or changes
  • Handle small projects during execution or ensure a seamless handover to the executing department
  • Arrange and coordinate customer visits to company facilities and plant tours
  • Visit company facilities to increase technology knowledge and review market and business strategy
  • Represent Primetals Technologies at conferences and official business events
  • Participate in and potentially lead contract negotiations
  • Participate in and support onsite project installation and commissioning activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience or familiarity with the metallurgical aspects of the steel industry are an advantage
  • Knowledge of technology for steelmaking, ironmaking, casting and other metals equipment
  • Experience selling metals industrial equipment
  • Minimum of five to ten years of experience combining design engineering, process engineering, sales, and contract negotiations
  • High degree of motivation and flexibility
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High ability to work with a team and lead and develop employees
  • International and domestic travel required
  • Experience handling or coordinating projects
