About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications
  • Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions
  • Locate problems by observing mechanical devices, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
  • Inspect used parts and adjust equipment functional parts using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
  • Control downtime through routine preventive maintenance techniques
  • Use maintenance resources, equipment, and supplies efficiently
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Contribute to team efforts and complete related duties as needed
  • Use hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools, indicators, gages, and micrometers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen
  • Current, valid driver license
  • Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments
  • Preferred: previous industrial/mechanical maintenance experience
  • Frequent walking, standing, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying of twenty (20) lbs or less
  • Occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, lifting and carrying of fifty (50) – thirty (30) lbs
  • Duties may be performed in-house and on location at customer site
