  • Manage 3–4 subcategories
  • Develop supplier and commodity cost reduction strategies
  • Analyze and communicate market intelligence
  • Lead commercial negotiations
  • Monitor supplier performance
  • Establish strategic, critical, or tactical supplier relationships
  • Maintain relationships with sustaining engineering, NPD engineering, and product management
  • Lead commercial QBRs and routine supplier reviews
  • Conduct and analyze RFQs
  • Engage supplier executives and manage relationships
  • Acquire, maintain, and communicate market trends
  • Review supplier quarterly and annual reports when applicable
  • Support supplier quality improvements
  • Recommend supplier audits
  • Identify optimal terms across the enterprise
  • Support product rationalization and harmonization efforts
  • Drive supplier performance improvement when needed
  • Develop category-level strategies
  • Curate supplier relationships
  • Achieve lower costs and help create a competitive advantage
  • Create analysis reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • CPM, CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ sourcing experience working for a major, large dollar operation
  • Minimum of 1 year at Senior Buyer level or Strategic Buyer level in manufacturing sector
  • Candidates must provide truthful and complete information regarding their eligibility to work in the U.S.
