About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own Product investment envelope, including OpEx and headcount budgets across Engineering, Product, and Design
  • Ensure investments align with company strategy, efficient spend, and margin targets
  • Drive workforce planning by building bottoms-up headcount models by function and level
  • Partner with Engineering leaders to sequence hiring against roadmap needs, compliance requirements, and operational scale
  • Develop forecasting models for cloud hosting, AI/compute, internal tooling, SaaS applications, and enterprise systems
  • Identify optimization opportunities across product infrastructure and corporate technology
  • Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, capitalizable versus expensed R&D, and vendor investments
  • Provide ROI-based recommendations and assess long-term cost structure impact
  • Lead monthly budget-versus-actuals reviews for EPD
  • Automate reporting, improve accrual accuracy, and surface actionable insights

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance at a high-growth technology company
  • Proven experience partnering with Engineering leaders and supporting technical teams and corporate functions
  • Fluency in infrastructure and SaaS cost drivers, including cloud economics, AI/compute scaling, enterprise tooling, architecture, and vendor decisions
  • Experience managing complex headcount models across multiple departments
  • Advanced financial modeling with scenario-driven models, clear assumptions, and sensitivity analysis
  • Strong analytical judgment
  • Ability to operate independently through ambiguity and structure problems without an established playbook
  • Excellent executive communication skills and ability to develop polished, executive-ready deliverables
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Hands-on experience with Pigment is a bonus
