About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Advanced/Lead Technicians during projects
  • Install project-specific components and equipment according to manufacturer and company standards
  • Assist with installation and support of coaxial, fiber, Cat 5/6, and other cable types in commercial and residential environments
  • Use basic hand and power tools
  • Complete installations in stadiums, motor speedways, hospitals, schools, office buildings, and multi-family homes
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
  • Perform outstanding work to maintain customer confidence
  • Oversee the health and performance of assigned DAS systems and ensure KPIs and Service Level Agreements are met
  • Receive, act on, update, and resolve DAS trouble and service-request tickets
  • Interface with Carrier and OEM resources
  • Perform Engineering C&I as necessary
  • Respond to service requests and alarms
  • Work with the market Project Manager to complete due-outs
  • Respond to the Managed Services team Manager as needed
  • Complete required reporting for assigned teams
  • Travel to support company and customer needs
  • No direct reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1 year of technical experience, or a combination of related education/experience
  • Willingness to learn new technology and design plans and bills of material
  • Hands-on experience with project-specific OEMs
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to technologies in public safety and wireless communications and equipment
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings/schematics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, establish priorities, work independently and as part of a team, and proceed with objectives with some supervision
  • Must be able to interact and communicate professionally
  • Proven track record of reliability, integrity, and responsibility
  • Ability to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle tools or controls; reach; climb stairs; talk or hear; use personal protective equipment; lift equipment; bend; use near vision for reading and computer use
  • Ability to frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally ascend/descend a ladder
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to perform on-call support for critical systems
  • Ability to work first shift Monday–Friday, with occasional second or third shifts and weekends depending on project schedules
  • Ability to travel as necessary to support company and customer needs
