About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Box and palletize items for shipment
Receive shipments, break down pallets, and organize warehouse items
Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments
Reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify issues
Operate lift trucks, forklifts, or hand trucks to move materials
Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Perform computer functions to track goods
Support shipment of produced goods and received goods and supplies
Resolve material needs and inventory control issues
Update computer-generated inventories and documents
Facilitate fulfillment orders by gathering materials or inventory
Make pickups and deliveries to suppliers using a company van as needed
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment
No direct reports

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Shipping and Receiving
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, such as Word and Excel
Strong communication skills
Ability to work inside and frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, talk, and hear
Ability to lift and frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to travel as necessary to support company and customer needs
Must follow proper safety procedures
