About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Apply machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision techniques to identity document analysis, authentication, and fraud detection
Design and implement document-based algorithms for digital onboarding and identity authentication solutions
Create solutions for identity document authentication, tampered-document detection, and document-fraud prevention
Develop identity document processing algorithms using foundation models, traditional machine learning, image processing, and computer vision
Prototype proof-of-concepts and develop them into production-ready solutions
Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to deploy algorithms into production and manage long-term improvements
Develop algorithm components for cloud, server, and mobile deployment environments
Test, evaluate, and configure identity document processing and analysis solutions
Apply knowledge in document validation, document capture, computer vision, and image processing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Candidates must be resident in Serbia at the time of application
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, a mathematics-related field, or equivalent
Experience developing and evaluating advanced machine learning and computer vision algorithms
Strong traditional machine learning and computer vision background
Strong proficiency with modern deep learning frameworks and foundation models
Experience in low-resourced domains, transfer learning or using unsupervised/lightly supervised learning techniques
Strong Python skills for research and application development; C++ experience is a plus
Working knowledge of image processing libraries & toolkits
Competency in using AI-driven development tools to accelerate the computer vision R&D lifecycle
Commercial experience with document capture & validation is a plus
Experience in data curation, annotation, and synthetic training data generation
Strong mathematical aptitude
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within an existing international team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent written and spoken English
