Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to front-end architecture, design decisions, and development for scalable, maintainable web applications built with a modern component-based framework
Partner with back-end engineers, UX designers, DevOps, and product managers to deliver features aligned with user needs and business priorities
Drive best practices in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, peer code reviews, and performance optimization
Implement and enforce standards for code quality, maintainability, and application security using code quality tools and software composition/security scanning tools
Contribute to and coordinate technology upgrades to keep the codebase current, stable, and supportable
Mentor, train, and support hiring of junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a high-performance and inclusive engineering culture
Champion agile delivery practices to ensure rapid, reliable release of product enhancements

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of professional experience developing large-scale software applications using Java
Experience with full-stack application development (Java and React), including backend services, web technologies, and database integration
Experience working with Java-based web applications
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming
Experience building and maintaining backend services and enterprise web applications
Experience with modern web development technologies, including HTML, React.js and related frameworks or libraries
Experience with AWS or other cloud environments
Experience with relational databases and SQL
Ability to integrate applications with databases and develop data-driven solutions
Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs
Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps practices
