About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide customer support via phones, email, and tickets for a book publisher
  • Answer questions about orders, customizations, and the product's methodology
  • Support parents, teachers, and school officials who are new to the books and methodology
  • Take phone calls during every shift
  • Self-schedule a minimum of 10 hours per week
  • Work within production hours Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm Pacific Time
  • Commit to 90 days as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior teaching/educational experience is required
  • Customer service experience via phones, email, and tickets
  • Willingness to take phone calls on every shift
  • Pleasant and professional phone presence
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and writing skills
  • Ability to follow documentation
  • Experience with Zendesk and HubSpot is preferred
  • Dedicated laptop or desktop with Windows 11 or newer
  • Minimum of 8 GB RAM
  • Reliable internet connection
  • High-quality headset with noise-canceling microphone
  • Quiet, distraction-free workspace for taking calls
  • Willingness to install ModSquad security software
  • Two-factor authentication enabled on both device and mobile phone
