About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the operational and cultural leader of the Cheektowaga branch
  • Own branch P&L performance, profitability, and financial results
  • Build and maintain client, supplier, and agent relationships

  • Lead branch operations to ensure service excellence, compliance, and operational efficiency

  • Develop and execute branch growth, pricing, and operational strategies
  • Promote continuous improvement, accountability, and process consistency
  • Resolve complex operational, customer, compliance, and employee issues
  • Identify root causes and implement sustainable performance improvements
  • Support teams through high-impact or time-sensitive situations while mitigating risk
  • Partner with Sales, Compliance, Centers of Excellence, and corporate leadership
  • Align branch priorities and resources with company strategies and customer needs
  • Communicate performance expectations, business objectives, and organizational initiatives
  • Represent the branch in leadership forums, customer meetings, and company-wide programs
  • Oversee pricing, quoting, billing, file reviews, and financial controls
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive revenue, margin, and cost-management initiatives
  • Ensure timely billing, operational accuracy, and compliance with financial standards
  • Lead, coach, and develop branch leaders and team members
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and leadership pipeline growth
  • Execute People & Culture initiatives and reinforce accountability, collaboration, and engagement
  • Travel as needed for leadership meetings, client visits, or training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or related logistics experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and operations
  • Demonstrated success managing P&L performance and achieving business goals
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence
  • Advanced knowledge of international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, import, export, and domestic transportation operations
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, including CBP, TSA, and other government agencies
  • Experience with pricing strategy, quoting, and operational performance management
  • Business analytics, reporting, and operational planning proficiency
  • Microsoft Office Suite and operational technology proficiency
  • P&L management and financial analysis
  • Strategic planning and business execution
  • Revenue growth and margin management
  • Data-driven decision making and business performance management
  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
