About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own end-to-end product and visual design for high-quality UI/UX
  • Scope and run experiments
  • Conduct customer research
  • Test prototypes and refine UX based on insights
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define features and address technical constraints
  • Iterate on designs and ensure seamless handoff and implementation
  • Learn Monarch’s design system within the first 90 days
  • Take ownership of product design projects enhancing new members’ experience
  • Improve onboarding flows and new user experiences
  • Contribute to A/B testing, customer engagement, and retention initiatives
  • Build product experiences that help Monarch reach more users and support their path to financial success

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years designing across mobile and web at a consumer-focused company
  • Strong visual design skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Systems-thinking approach
  • Experience collaborating with founders, product managers, and engineers
  • Experience designing experiments and 0-1 end-to-end experiences
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively flag blockers
  • Ability to select appropriate tools, including Figma, Claude design, or code
  • Familiarity with paid and organic marketing channel processes
  • Portfolio required
  • Ability to collaborate synchronously mostly from 9 AM–2 PM PT
  • Applicants must be based in the US for this role
