About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform interviews with individuals and/or families to identify presenting problems, assess mental status and dangerousness, gather psychosocial history, and assign accurate DSM diagnoses
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to individuals of all ages using person-centered philosophies and best practices
- Assess psychiatric crises and provide crisis intervention while working closely with psychiatrists
- Maintain necessary medical records in compliance with state, federal, and agency guidelines
- Refer individuals and families to appropriate outside agencies and provide information within confidentiality guidelines
- Provide crisis assessments, stabilization, and service coordination to de-escalate crisis situations and maintain the lowest safe level of care
- Provide coverage or back-up for Emergency Services during clinical hours and on-call coverage after hours and weekends as needed
- Maintain licensure and attend educational trainings and seminars
- Maintain positive working relationships with communities, individuals, families, staff, agencies, organizations, funding resources, and human service agencies
- Participate in the agency’s continuous quality improvement activities
- Comply with agency policies and procedures
- Provide clinical consultation to Monarch professionals
- Drive and travel to community locations, agencies, and outreach destinations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Masters: Human Services (Required)
- One of the following required qualifications: LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC, or LPA
- Maintain licensure as required by licensing board
- Counseling/Therapy Experience not required
- Attend educational trainings/seminars to remain up-to-date on current best practices
- Ability to provide outpatient behavioral health services to persons of all ages
- Ability to provide individual, group, and family therapy
- Ability to assess psychiatric crises and provide crisis intervention
- Ability to maintain medical records in compliance with state, federal, and agency guidelines
- Ability to drive and travel to community locations, agencies, and outreach destinations
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm in a hybrid position
- Scheduled weekly hours: 40
