About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and optimize OT systems in paper bag production plants, including SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial PCs
Ensure network reliability and segmentation between IT and OT environments
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures for production systems
Support integration of production data into enterprise IT systems for analytics and reporting
Collaborate with production, engineering, and IT teams to minimize downtime and optimize processes
Participate in change management, system upgrades, and compliance audits
Troubleshoot complex cross-domain IT/OT issues affecting production
Bridge production operations and IT by aligning industrial automation with digital strategies, cybersecurity standards, and data-driven optimization initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience/knowledge of servers, virtualization, storage, and backup solutions
Knowledge of industrial networks, firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, and VLANs
Knowledge of SCADA, PLC, HMI, and industrial protocols including Profinet, Modbus, and OPC
Knowledge of threat detection, patch management, endpoint protection, and monitoring
Focus on high uptime, process continuity, and risk mitigation
Spanish and English mandatory
Catalan and Italian are nice to have
Flexibility and willingness to travel 10% across Catalonia, Madrid, and Basque Country
Proactive, autonomous, team-oriented, and good communication skills
Preferably available to start in November
