About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run video consultations, collect customer information and establish goals.
- Walk customers through their plans, answer questions and help them feel confident about next steps.
- Handle support-team escalations involving pensions, pension consolidation, drawdown and market volatility.
- Off-board customers who are not suited to the service, with empathy and appropriate handover.
- Respond to customers flagged as insistent while protecting the customer and firm.
- Review engine-generated plans against suitability standards within agreed SLAs and sign off plans for release.
- Review flagged customer cases and decide whether to fact-find further, off-ramp or release the plan.
- Identify patterns and feed them into House Rules, fact-find improvements and Paraplanner training.
- Work closely with Paraplanners on case preparation, suitability content and reviews.
- Provide technical support and coaching to Financial Guides on the advice/guidance boundary.
- Contribute to team learning sessions.
- Work within standard UK business hours at launch, with customer time structured around bookable Calendly slots.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (QCF Level 4) — either completed, or close enough that you can complete within an agreed timeframe.
- Strong understanding of UK pensions, ISAs, investment products and the tax treatment of each.
- Experience advising customers, ideally with a mix of retirement and accumulation cases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable working with technology, data and a structured advice process.
- Strong awareness of Consumer Duty and a genuine instinct for good customer outcomes.
- Pension transfer / drawdown qualifications (AF7 or equivalent), or appetite to work towards them (desirable).
- Experience in a digital or scaled-advice environment (desirable).
- Experience working with paraplanners or in a case-prep model (desirable).
- Candidates must be based within the UK.
- Visa sponsorship is unavailable; overseas applications cannot be considered.
- Satisfactory pre-employment checks, including criminal record and adverse credit history checks, are required.
