About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Moneybox's Financial Adviser team as 1st line supervisor for the regulated advice team
  • Recruit and inspire advisers while building culture and service standards that deliver strong customer outcomes
  • Support advisers' development from initial qualification to experienced professionals
  • Own adviser sign-off, competence and quality standards as a Certified Individual under SM&CR
  • Sign off Financial Adviser and Senior Financial Adviser cases ahead of Competent Adviser Status and sign off own advice cases once CAS is achieved
  • Line manage Senior Financial Advisers and Financial Advisers, overseeing performance, development and career progression
  • Build and own the T&C scheme, including case sign-off standards, competence records and House Rules
  • Manage performance against KPIs through individual and team coaching
  • Own QA and case-review standards and feed findings into House Rules, training and the wider T&C scheme
  • Act as senior escalation point for complex or sensitive customer cases
  • Represent the Adviser team in governance forums and contribute to advice strategy
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, competence frameworks and workforce planning
  • Work with product and technology teams to evolve the advice customer experience
  • Build processes and source technology to help the advice team serve more customers personally
  • Report to the Director of Advice and collaborate with the Head of Proposition and Senior Coaching & Advice Service Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience as a senior Financial Adviser or supervisory lead in a regulated financial advice environment, with a track record of overseeing case quality and competence
  • Experience operating as a Certified Individual under SM&CR, with a strong understanding of case sign-off, competence frameworks and T&C schemes
  • Level 4 qualification in Financial Planning attained
  • Track record of people management — coaching, performance management and career development for Advisers
  • Strong understanding of Consumer Duty, suitability standards and regulatory expectations in advice delivery
  • Comfortable representing a team in governance forums and contributing to strategic and product discussions
  • Level 6 qualification in Financial Planning attained (e.g. CII Advanced Diploma including AF6, or LIBF Adv DipFA) — desirable
  • Experience holding Competent Supervisor status, or a clear track record of achieving it quickly in a similar role — desirable
  • Experience operating in a digital-first advice model — desirable
  • Background working closely with Paraplanning and Coaching / Advice Coach teams in a cross-functional advice service — desirable
  • Familiarity with AI-supported or technology-enabled advice journeys, and comfortable adapting standards as tools evolve — desirable
  • Candidates must be based within the UK
  • Moneybox cannot offer visa sponsorship and cannot consider overseas applications
  • Satisfactory pre-employment checks, including criminal record and adverse credit history checks, are required
