Key responsibilities & impact

Evolve Monzo’s native Android mobile app
Build polished user experiences with well-tested, resilient code
Balance moving fast with iterative product development
Shape how more than 15 million people interact with their finances
Work in a small autonomous product squad with iOS Engineers, Backend Engineers, User Researchers, Product Designers, Product Managers, QA Testers, and Data Scientists
Contribute to company goals and influence what and how the company builds
Work across personal banking products, customer support tools, and mobile platform capabilities
Participate in weekly Android discipline meetings to improve tools, techniques, codebase, and processes
Report to an engineering manager and participate in regular one-to-ones

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience programming in Kotlin
Shipped and iterated on at least one app in the Play Store
Product mindset and data-informed decision-making
Ability to turn excellent design into beautiful products
Comfort working in a team dealing with ambiguity
Understanding of computer science principles
