About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write and improve customer-facing and internal content across Monzo
Support teams working on loans, credit cards, overdrafts, and other borrowing and credit projects
Collaborate with engineers, designers, marketers, researchers, lawyers, and cross-functional squads
Create in-app screens and product content with Product Designers
Develop positioning and messaging toolkits for web, growth marketing, and CRM with Product Marketers
Participate in user research sessions
Write error messages with input from engineers
Edit legal wording with in-house lawyers
Champion high-quality writing and help colleagues improve their writing skills
Contribute to Writing resources, training, and processes
Cover the Borrowing Writer during caregiver leave for a 12-month fixed-term contract

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong understanding of borrowing and credit products
Experience with content design, UX writing, or product writing
Ability to use data and research to guide writing approaches
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Comfortable questioning briefs and explaining recommendations
Training or coaching experience to improve others’ writing is beneficial but not essential
Not a first writing job; able to hit the ground running
CV and cover letter required
Must be able to work remotely within the UK or from the London office/hybrid arrangement
