About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a procurement specialist representing supply chain
  • Create and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodity/categories
  • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing and terms to achieve cost savings and risk reduction
  • Manage supplier performance, on-time delivery, and quality metrics
  • Escalate and resolve supplier issues
  • Collaborate with shop planning, production, and engineering to support component gating and kit releases
  • Perform data-driven and trend analyses to identify opportunities and forecast needs
  • Place and expedite purchase orders; monitor PO status and delivery dates
  • Provide reliable completion and delivery dates to internal stakeholders
  • Support master planning with basic forecasting inputs and procurement lead-time updates
  • Participate in cross-functional problem-solving initiatives to remove supply constraints
  • Lead continuous improvement activities for the procurement function or business unit
  • Occasional travel to the Niagara Falls, NY site may be required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or similar, OR an Associate’s degree and 2 years procurement/planning experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Full physical including bloodwork and Pulmonary Function testing
  • Advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus
  • Experience with PowerBi is preferred
  • Experience supporting lean manufacturing is preferred
  • Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required
