About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and develop hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems used to test Moog products
- Design and develop new electrical test equipment, assemblies, and/or processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals
- Contribute to test equipment design verifying functional performance of products used on military, commercial, and space vehicles
- Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals
- Consult with internal customers on new test equipment development
- Design hydraulic/pneumatic schematics for new test system designs
- Integrate hydraulic components into higher-level test systems
- Prepare, support, and guide Assembly and Test technicians
- Contribute to work estimates for design and development efforts
- Maintain engineering records and document changes and performance effects
- Initiate and perform specialized research
- Create reliable designs through experimental development testing
- Document designs, analyses, and test results in reports
- Coordinate and support test equipment assembly
- Mentor younger engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years’ relevant technical experience
- Self-motivated, critical thinking and strong analytical skills
- Solid modeling and drafting experience a plus
- Doors experience a plus
- Background in hydraulics preferred
- This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information
