About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Interpret and manage customer technical requirements for new and modified flight control products.
  • Generate and maintain documentation required to flow technical requirements to component suppliers.
  • Determine compliance to customer specifications through engineering analysis, similarity assessments, and testing activities.
  • Define and develop validation and verification documentation, test schedules, test procedures, technical reports, test reports, and compliance matrices.
  • Perform engineering analysis to determine sizing and performance characteristics of hydraulically and electrically powered secondary flight control products.
  • Apply modelling and simulation techniques to evaluate complex aerospace actuation systems and product performance.
  • Prepare technical content of customer Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) for new and modified applications.
  • Lead and support technical investigations involving Moog products, including manufacturing, customer, and supplier-related issues.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert during investigations and problem resolution activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the aerospace product lifecycle.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with experience performing performance analysis of complex mechanical systems.
  • Experience with computer-based modelling and simulation techniques.
  • Understanding of system requirements definition and validation and verification processes.
  • Strong report writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with engineering and analysis software such as MATLAB, Mathcad, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional engineering teams.
