About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in planning, coordinating, and advancing client-centric business development strategies, primarily supporting the Labor and Employment practice
- Draft and coordinate pitches, RFP responses, and presentations under manager/senior manager direction
- Draft and edit correspondence, PowerPoint presentations, visual resources, and other documents
- Collaborate across departments to format, edit, proofread, print, and compile deliverables to firm standards
- Use firm tools to manage data and conduct research using the firm intranet and external platforms
- Create reports supporting business development activities
- Coordinate with marketing and events teams on event content development
- Identify practice generation targets and opportunities and conduct event follow-up
- Assist with budget development, maintenance, and tracking
- Support business development operations, including communications, reporting, and experience management
- Coordinate responses to ad hoc assignments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate or bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services/consulting organization
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Ability to work independently as well as manage projects and assignments in a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment
- Excellent communication, writing, and proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and database applications
- Ability to adapt to new technology and programs
