About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer, process, generate, and maintain employee leave requests and associated documents
  • Manage active leaves of absence
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on leave administration and applicable laws and regulations
  • Work directly with employees and HR Business Partners regarding leave policies and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to applicable leave laws and firm policies and practices
  • Review and approve completed paperwork while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
  • Monitor leave-related steps and obtain relevant employee information
  • Coordinate with the Total Rewards team on benefits-related leave issues and questions
  • Generate and distribute written and verbal information about leave eligibility and status
  • Explain leave policies, procedures, timelines, and applicable offsets; resolve problems and issues
  • Perform case management activities, provide milestones, collect return-to-work paperwork, and monitor leave utilization
  • Research leave policy issues and respond with appropriate action within required timeframes
  • Apply leave policies consistently, accurately, and timely across all US offices
  • Identify risks and provide proper escalation for high-level resolution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of 1 year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and human resources experience
  • Leaves experience is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge and proficiency of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and professional publications
  • Ability to prepare business correspondence, proposals, and reports
  • Ability to effectively present information to groups of employees
  • Ability to respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, and vendors
