About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Plan, implement, and oversee Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes through appropriate technology platforms
Provide supervision and oversight of the group’s integrated construction team
Improve the project’s and group’s ability to capture and deploy lessons learned and best practices
Contribute to developing and improving the group’s VDC Playbook
Coordinate with project leadership, design team members, and preconstruction services
Oversee production and management of 3D and 4D models
Establish project scope of work, schedules, and deliverables for integrated delivery services
Oversee construction coordination
Communicate model-generated information to the project team
Capture, manage, and communicate reality capture data and status visualizations
Implement 3D technology during construction
Participate in research and development of new technologies
Lead or participate in internal training
Develop, modify, and update project BIM in support of self-performed work or 3D coordination needs
Attend, participate in, and present at external and internal BIM/VDC conferences and meetings
Manage others and provide leadership within the group and broader Mortenson IDAT community
Provide support beyond the current physical and assigned geographic location
Perform other duties as assigned
Mortenson is a builder, developer, and EPC company serving sports, renewable energy, data centers, healthcare, and other markets

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
8+ years of progressively challenging construction management experience or equivalent combining education and experience
Current driver's license
Ability to travel greater than 50%
Experience managing and/or leading a dynamic team
High level of competency with advanced software (2D, 3D and 4D)
Proficiency with Autodesk Building Design Systems (Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Civil3D, 3Ds Max, Navisworks)
Experience with Revizto, Synchro, Enscape, ArcGIS, and Drone Deploy
Licensure in professional field is preferred
Rendering and Animation experience is a plus
Part 107 license is a plus prior to joining, but essential to acquire early to support program’s reality capture requirements
Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status
