About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers by soliciting bids, analyzing quotations, interviewing prospective suppliers, selecting suppliers, and evaluating supplier performance
  • Develop profitable purchasing strategies and propose procurement solutions that deliver value and reduce risk
  • Create and maintain procurement logs for supported operating group projects
  • Negotiate and prepare purchase agreements and purchase orders
  • Ensure suppliers adhere to contractual terms and conditions, including timeliness and quality standards
  • Negotiate favorable prices consistent with quality, quantity, and specification requirements
  • Analyze individual markets, handle budget and increase margin, and track purchasing trends
  • Track order status through delivery and communicate status to project teams
  • Visit project sites to understand challenges and develop streamlined procurement processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Current driver’s license
  • Knowledge of construction processes, equipment and materials, purchasing processes and procedures
  • Negotiating, organizing, planning, verbal and communication skills
  • Strong customer service and analytical skills
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
  • Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status
