About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist counselors in preventing and reducing delinquency through effective communication with members via phone and email
- Communicate with foreclosure attorneys, investors, and credit unions to determine liquidation strategies
- Process loans through the entire foreclosure process, from referral to eviction
- File reimbursement claims to recover foreclosure expenses
- Determine and manage recoverability of legal fees and costs
- Process loans through the full bankruptcy process
- Share best practices and experiences to improve processes and increase productivity
- Solve problems using analytical and organizational skills to predict and resolve issues
- Collaborate with team members and others within the organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive knowledge of the foreclosure process
- Knowledge of out-of-state foreclosure proceedings
- Knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC required foreclosure guidelines
- Knowledge of 571 claims, PMI claims, HUD, REO, and investor guidelines
- Knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and private mortgage insurance requirements
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, deadline-driven environment
- Superb follow-up skills
