About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for assigned project sites
- Provide guidance and support to employees and field leadership
- Partner with project leaders and supervisors on workforce needs, employee concerns, and day-to-day HR matters
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, transfers, promotions, and offboarding
- Coordinate new hire onboarding
- Review, audit, and resolve timekeeping and attendance-related matters to support payroll accuracy
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and company programs
- Escalate complex employee relations matters appropriately
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR data
- Support reporting and compliance requirements
- Partner with HR and operational teams on compliance initiatives, audits, apprenticeship programs, workforce development initiatives, and special projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, employee relations, payroll, recruiting, or workforce coordination preferred
- Experience supporting hourly employees, field operations, or a fast-paced workforce environment preferred
- Strong understanding of HR processes and ability to apply policies consistently and fairly
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build trust and relationships with employees and leaders at all levels
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Bilingual Spanish and/or Creole is a plus
- Construction, energy, or industrial industry experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work a 7:00 AM start time aligned with field operations
