About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take ownership of the 2027 annual budget, rolling forecast and scenario planning across base, stretch and downside cases
Maintain the driver-based model linking volume, mix, margin, trade spend, marketing, headcount and working capital
Run weekly or bi-weekly forecast updates across DTC, Amazon, retail and export
Translate trading performance into forward-looking projections and commercial plans into cash implications and resourcing trade-offs
Build and maintain channel profitability views, including contribution margin by channel, customer and SKU
Analyze pricing, promotions, trade spend and marketing efficiency and provide data-backed recommendations
Work with the Data Team to ensure KPI dashboard inputs are reliable and accurate
Review the 13-week operational cash forecast, bring the commercial view and translate it into decisions on stock buys, spending controls and payment terms
Partner with operations to model stock weeks, run-out risks, demand curves and production requirements
Drive working capital improvements across inventory turns, supplier terms and collections
Support funding and lender conversations with scenario analysis and materials
Work closely with the Fractional CFO, CEO, finance team, Operations, Growth and Data teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in FP&A, commercial finance or strategic finance, ideally in CPG, FMCG, DTC or another fast-growing consumer brand
Genuinely strong modelling skills in Excel or Google Sheets, building driver-based forecasts
Experience of a multi-channel business, including DTC, retail and Amazon
Experience scaling through real growth
Commercial instinct to spot signals early and quantify impact quickly
Ability to simplify complexity for non-finance stakeholders
Urgency to work in weekly iterations rather than quarterly cycles
Comfortable being measured on a fixed-term brief, building structure, documenting it and handing it over well
Useful, not essential: exposure to inventory and COGS economics, funding or lender processes, or US expansion
