About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a strategic legal advisor to ASUR’s airports in Brazil
- Interpret and apply the legal framework in complex, multijurisdictional contexts
- Address legislative gaps and harmonize divergent interpretations among authorities at different levels of government
- Develop legal strategies involving regulatory agencies, granting authorities, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and other public authorities
- Serve as a technical reference in airport regulation, including the rules and activities of ANAC, SAC, COMAER, ANVISA, VIGIAGRO, the Federal Police, the Federal Revenue Service, and IBAMA
- Provide legal guidance to all company areas on strategic, regulatory, and business-impacting matters
- Draft and support the negotiation of agreements with public authorities
- Develop legal strategies and draft or review submissions before public authorities, granting authorities, regulatory agencies, Courts of Auditors, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, as well as in judicial or arbitration proceedings
- Prepare defenses against notices of violation, requests for economic-financial rebalancing, proposed amendments to concession agreements, and Conduct Adjustment Agreements (TACs)
- Participate in internal projects and matters, preparing legal opinions to support negotiations and transactions
- Monitor, review, and propose amendments to Public Consultations on new regulations or new business initiatives
- Manage external law firms, approve invoices, and support the Directorate’s budget management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Specialization, preferably in Administrative Law or Public Law
- Solid knowledge of Administrative, Regulatory, and Constitutional Law
- Solid knowledge of Environmental Law
- Solid knowledge of Civil and Corporate Law
- Knowledge of airport-sector regulations, preferably including the Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulations (RBACs)
- Knowledge of ordinances and regulations governing civil aviation
- Experience working with regulatory and inspection authorities in the airport environment, such as ANAC, SAC, COMAER, ANVISA, VIGIAGRO, the Federal Police, the Federal Revenue Service, and IBAMA
