About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate lighting and electrical designs in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Liaise with the civil engineering team to assess interfaces between lighting systems and other roadway elements
  • Develop technical specifications for public lighting projects and perform lighting studies using DiaLux software
  • Evaluate solutions with a focus on energy efficiency and propose improvements
  • Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation solutions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct financial feasibility studies based on technical assumptions
  • Make occasional field visits to monitor the installation and testing of lighting systems, assess lessons learned, and prepare technical reports
  • Manage schedules for lighting project development
  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Plan and control projects and manage contracts
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on product qualifications, production capacity, delivery quality, and technical know-how

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience with public lighting projects
  • Experience developing lighting designs using lighting software such as DiaLux
  • Experience with control and automation systems
  • Knowledge of technical standards (ABNT, IEC, IEEE)
  • Knowledge of LED lighting and energy efficiency
  • Knowledge of accessibility and sustainability standards
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and DiaLux
  • Class B driver’s license, with experience driving on highways
  • DiaLux or similar training certification is a plus
  • MBA in Project Management is a plus
  • Project Management certification (PMP) is a plus
  • Knowledge of BIM is a plus
