About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure continuous improvement of railway asset performance through the application of Reliability Engineering methodologies, failure analysis, and performance assessment.
  • Develop reliability, maintainability, and availability (RAM) studies using statistical techniques, operational history, and modeling applied throughout the asset life cycle.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with critical assets by conducting criticality analyses, risk matrix assessments, FMEA/FMECA, and defining mitigation actions.
  • Contribute to the definition and optimization of maintenance strategies using RCM, FMEA/FMECA, RCA, and recurring failure analyses.
  • Support asset renewal, modernization, and replacement plans by considering asset condition, remaining useful life, operational performance, and risk exposure.
  • Develop and provide technical and management indicators to support decision-making through the analysis and consolidation of asset, maintenance, and operations data.
  • Contribute to the advancement of Asset Management by implementing methodologies, standards, and practices aligned with ISO 55000 principles.
  • Support the governance of reliability and asset management processes by monitoring technical audits, action plans, and results.
  • Contribute to the technical development of Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams by disseminating Reliability Engineering methodologies and knowledge.
  • Conduct asset degradation analyses and life-cycle studies.
  • Use ReliaSoft RCM++, Weibull++, BlockSim, and RGA for reliability modeling and studies.
  • Update metrics, portals, and dashboards, as well as develop new Power BI applications using Python, statistics, and probability for data processing and analysis.
  • Provide technical support for asset specifications during procurement processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in Reliability Engineering, applying methodologies such as RCM, FMEA/FMECA, RCA, Weibull analysis, and RAM analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with quantitative reliability studies, degradation analysis, and asset life analysis.
  • Knowledge of Asset Management, Risk Management, and Asset Criticality, preferably with experience applying ISO 55000 principles.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and Data Science applied to maintenance, with a strong understanding of probability and statistics concepts.
  • Knowledge of BI tools and EAM/CMMS systems.
  • Knowledge of Python for data processing and analysis.
  • Postgraduate degree in Reliability Engineering, Asset Management, or Maintenance Engineering is a plus.
  • CAMA and/or RCM certification is a plus.
  • Experience with ReliaSoft RCM++, Weibull++, BlockSim, and RGA, with the ability to use these tools independently, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and Oracle databases is a plus.
