About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage a team of GIS professionals leading GIS deployment processes for Motorola’s public safety and command center software suite
Oversee and support implementation deployment projects as the team leader and focal point
Ensure contractual scope is delivered on schedule and within budget while maintaining customer satisfaction
Schedule resources and plan capacity across multiple deployment streams
Lead discovery events to understand customer business processes and GIS data needs
Evaluate business processes and recommend solution configurations to improve operational efficiency
Facilitate business process reengineering through workflow analysis, workshops, and collaborative process development
Liaise between technical resources, engineers, project managers, and managers to communicate customer needs
Partner with project managers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely software delivery within scope and budget

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography or equivalent discipline and 5+ years of related job experience with a strong background in IT, computer science, or a highly technical GIS role
Experience with ESRI applications, GIS data management principles, database management and Python scripting required
High School diploma, BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography or 5+ years of related job experience with a strong background in IT, computer science, or a highly technical GIS role
Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required
Employer work permit sponsorship is not available
