About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee and maintain the customer's Astro 25 Trunking Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system at the customer's facility in Brunswick, GA
Act as the primary technical point of contact with indirect supervision
Perform daily maintenance of critical infrastructure
Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime
Manage the full lifecycle of mobile and portable subscriber units, including programming, testing, issuing, and basic troubleshooting
Program APX, XTS, and XTL subscribers using Motorola Customer Programming Software (CPS) and Radio Management
Provide technical training and recommendations on Motorola LMR products
Communicate complex technical concepts, designs, and recommendations to the customer and Motorola organization
Manage network infrastructure using LAN/WAN skills, Information Assurance systems, and Domain Administration protocols
Travel by air under 10% to Maryland and/or New Mexico

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree OR 4+ years of experience in LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Motorola equipment, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering, Networking Equipment, IP Networking, Solutions Architecture, ASTRO 25, P25, WAVE VoIP, or Military experience
Deep expertise with Motorola subscriber products
Thorough understanding of Motorola RSS/CPS software
Strong LAN/WAN networking skills and network administration experience
Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Motorola Infrastructure Technologies, including Astro25 cores, MCC Console line, Radio Management, and third-party networking equipment
Must possess or be able to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification
Current, valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain required U.S. Federal Government background and security clearances
Must successfully complete Standard Form 86 (SF-86) Questionnaire
Legal authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S.; employer work permit sponsorship unavailable
Must reside within or be willing to relocate within a 1-hour commute of Brunswick, GA
Must be willing to travel by air up to 10% of the time to Maryland and/or New Mexico
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
