About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Regional Services Manager
- Manage deployment of complex public safety solutions for Computer-Aided Dispatch, Mobile Computing, Records Management, and Jail Management
- Lead and manage deployments for statewide, regional, county, and city public safety jurisdictions
- Lead and direct project teams across organizational boundaries
- Manage and mentor individual contributors across multiple disciplines throughout all project phases
- Drive strategic relationships between internal and external teams
- Resolve issues between internal and external groups
- Manage project profitability, budgets, and schedules
- Establish and maintain communication, risk, mitigation, and quality plans
- Approve invoices
- Provide system integration quotations and statements of work
- Create, distribute, and present project status reports and results
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices with the Project Management Office
- Participate in pre-contract evaluation of terms and scope, oral presentations, and customer negotiations
- Travel approximately 25–50% within the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of project management experience OR 5+ years of project management experience managing complex deployments and/or software application deployments
- Experience managing complex deployments and/or software application deployments, including integration with 3rd party products and services
- Experience with project risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies
- Prefer experience managing projects for State and Local government agencies in public safety
- PMP Certification preferred
- Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
- Must successfully pass a stringent fingerprint background check under the CJIS Security Policy
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely required
- Employer work permit sponsorship is not available
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Experience leading and directing professionals across organizational/functional boundaries
- Ability to travel 25–50% through the Northeast US
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills and make decisions
- Self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance and take initiative
