About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the ECH Field Engineer Manager
  • Take accountability for systems implemented according to site design specifications
  • Perform on-site configuration, testing, cut, and post-cut support for on-premise and cloud-hosted Emergency Call Handling solutions
  • Configure supported and assigned ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications
  • Perform site verification testing before cutting sites into production
  • Configure and troubleshoot connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud-hosted application environments
  • Support customers and channel partners during ECH production deployments
  • Document solution changes, including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations, during implementation
  • Resolve installation and quality issues efficiently
  • Participate in developing and approving Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and system upgrades
  • Participate in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations as required
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies
  • Travel more than 75% domestically and internationally (listed travel requirement: 50–75%)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Technology
  • Must have 5+ years of experience working in an Engineering or Technical environment
  • 3+ years of experience in the deployment or Integration of complex IP products and systems
  • CompTIA Network+ AND Security+
  • Experience with cloud-based application troubleshooting, including connectivity, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/Active Directory)
  • Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting of server virtualization, specifically RedHat KVM, VMware ESXi v.6+ and/or Microsoft Hyper-V 2012+
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2016
  • Experience with Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2
  • Experience with Windows 7 and 10
  • Linux experience
  • Experience with network switches, preferably Cisco IOS
  • Basic knowledge of firewalls and routers, preferably Fortinet FortiGate
  • Telephony knowledge related to analog lines and PRI, including troubleshooting and physical configuration/termination
  • Familiarity with ACD call routing and provisioning
  • Familiarity with SIP interfaces and call flow ladders for troubleshooting and SBC provisioning
  • Basic Active Directory knowledge pertaining to account segregation and role assignments
  • Ability to operate independently using guides and remote support options
  • Ability to self-manage time based on objectives and goal requirements
  • Familiarity with virtual machine deployments and hosted systems, ESXi/KVM RedHat
  • Familiarity with Cisco switch configurations
  • Must possess or be eligible for a US passport for international travel up to 75%
  • Server hardware and workstation hardware experience
  • Previous experience in Public Safety Applications deployment and integration, and/or operations and administration preferred
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisions
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; employer work permit sponsorship is unavailable
  • Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, are a plus
