About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct needs analysis and create learner personas
Map task workflows and define measurable learning objectives
Develop instructional strategies and performance-based assessments
Author interactive online training modules, simulations, and software walkthroughs in Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360
Analyze hardware and software updates, release notes, and UI changes for workflow impacts
Update learning materials based on product and UI changes
Produce software demo videos, animations, and graphics using Camtasia and Adobe Creative Suite
Manage, prioritize, and maintain training assets across a product portfolio
Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Technical SMEs across global time zones
Validate technical accuracy and manage project timelines
Apply adult learning principles, modular content architecture, brand guidelines, and accessibility standards
Use AI-enabled tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Midjourney for scripting, scenario generation, media creation, and content optimization
Analyze learner analytics, assessment data, and feedback to improve learning experiences

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
5+ years of professional experience in Instructional Design or Learning Experience Design
Full instructional design lifecycle experience using ADDIE/SAM, from front-end needs analysis to final build
Advanced hands-on proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360
Proven ability to author custom interactions, variables, conditions, and state changes from scratch
Portfolio showcasing interactive technical training, custom Storyline builds, task-based simulations, and instructional design decisions
Solid grasp of adult learning theories, learner persona development, and performance support frameworks
Experience designing and developing training for software, SaaS, hardware, telecommunications, enterprise technology, or complex technical product environments
Ability to translate technical UI changes, system updates, and architecture diagrams into scenario-based learning
Experience using generative AI tools in active workflows
Advanced video editing and screencast production skills using Camtasia or Premiere Pro
Experience working across cross-functional, global teams and managing multi-product training portfolios
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong SME interview and stakeholder management capabilities
