About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support an experienced solicitor with a varied residential property caseload
  • Progress all files promptly and maintain compliance with service-level agreements and regulatory/statutory requirements
  • Handle case enquiries by telephone and email while delivering excellent customer service
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, mortgage brokers and other solicitors
  • Onboard clients and follow up for identification, instruction forms, protocol forms, money on account and proof of funds
  • Request management packs and LPE1 forms from landlords/managing agents
  • Review and respond to sale and purchase enquiries for freehold and leasehold transactions
  • Obtain redemption statements and conduct pre-completion searches
  • Submit property searches and assist with completions and exchange-to-completion administration
  • Exchange contracts and prepare apportionments, completion statements, invoices, letters and requisitions on title
  • Maintain telephone notes, handle correspondence, follow task lists and update the case management system accurately
  • Take on additional tasks to support Property Lawyers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Conveyancing Paralegal or in a similar role
  • Experience working in transactional with exposure to leasehold and new build files
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Experience using Case Management Systems and Visual Files preferred
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Full-time availability Monday to Friday, 9am–5.30pm
  • Successful completion of DBS and financial background checks
  • First 4 weeks full-time in the office for initial training; thereafter, minimum 2 days per week in the office
