About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead execution of complex AI safety, evaluation, human data, and red teaming programs
- Own end-to-end delivery from contract handoff and intake through staffing, execution, quality review, and customer sign-off
- Build and coordinate project teams, including clinical and specialized subject-matter experts
- Establish project plans, staffing models, timelines, communication cadences, and risk mitigation plans
- Monitor project performance, utilization, throughput, quality metrics, and budget performance
- Apply clinical judgment to project design, expert guidance, quality review, and escalation decisions
- Manage customer expectations and delivery milestones throughout engagements
- Lead internal project meetings, status reviews, and customer-facing reporting
- Define quality standards and establish quality controls and QA processes
- Build scalable operational systems that improve project visibility, quality, throughput, and efficiency
- Translate customer requirements into executable delivery plans
- Coordinate cross-functional pods across Human Data, QA, Engineering, Product, Research, Customer Success, and clinical/domain experts
- Forecast capacity and support business growth with executives and functional leaders
- Identify operational bottlenecks, process gaps, expansion opportunities, and systemic improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- MD degree required
- Utah medical license or familiarity with Utah laws for practice
- Medical training and clinical judgment applicable to AI safety, evaluation, and human data programs
- Program management and operational capabilities
- Experience managing complex services operations involving distributed teams of experts, annotators, reviewers, red teamers, contractors, and quality assurance personnel
- Experience designing or managing annotation workflows, QA processes, expert-driven data programs, clinical programs, research programs, or similarly complex operations
- Understanding of, or willingness to develop expertise in, AI evaluation, red teaming, and human-in-the-loop concepts
- Comfort with high-stakes, sensitive subject matter including AI safety, healthcare, mental health, red teaming, and trust & safety
- Ability to communicate clearly across project plans, status updates, and escalation paths
- Experience delivering complex programs in operational, clinical, research, healthcare, technology, or related environments
- Experience in AI safety, LLM evaluation, healthcare technology, clinical AI, or trust & safety operations is a strong plus
